Our Teacher Training Program is designed to create top-notch teachers, whether you’re a seasoned instructor, or just starting out in your teaching journey, this training will give you the confidence and skillset needed to teach safe and effective classes, grow your client base, and raise the barre in the industry.
Barre Fitness is currently an unregulated field, meaning that just about anyone can become “certified” to teach barre fitness and/or offer a “teacher training program”- we’re working to change that, but in the meantime, this is the most rigorous and in-depth training available in the world.
The program consists of over 200 hours of training, which honors and expands upon, the original principles and techniques from the classic Lotte Berk Method. You’ll be trained in a unique and functional method, developed by the founder and owner of Origin House of Fitness: Nicole Adams. With over 1,000 hours of training and certifications under her belt, and over a decade of teaching barre fitness, yoga, Pilates, spin and functional fitness classes, Nicole has created the most in-depth barre training program available to the public, a program that is sure to set every teacher up for success, regardless of their prior teaching experience.

Why Train with Nicole?
Nicole is the creator and owner of Origin House of Fitness, offering yoga, Pilates and Bootcamp classes in addition to Barre Fitness. As an athlete and overall fitness enthusiast, Nicole has had the opportunity to practice and study with incredible teachers, in many different disciplines from all over the world, fueling the passion behind the development of her approach to teaching fitness based classes.
Running was her first love, and first glimpse, even at a young age into, into the connection between the mind, body and spirit, and the therapeutic elements of movement based practices. A nasty fall and injury in high school ended her love affair with running, but she was introduced to yoga, Pilates and functional fitness as a part of her rehabilitation regimen. She traded in her running shoes for a mountain bike, and rock climbing gear, and continued to explore meditative movement as “exercise.” During a mellow yoga class in her early twenties, she experienced a panic attack and relived trauma during the class. After being left alone in the room by the teacher, she began a quest to understand the effects of trauma in the body, and how movement/exercise could promote healing and reconnection. Nicole has a minor in Yoga and a BA in Contemplative Psychology from Naropa University in Boulder, CO, and thousands of hours of training and certification in: Yoga, Pilates, Spinning, Functional Fitness, Strength and Conditioning Training, and Barre Fitness.
Nicole stumbled upon Barre Fitness by accident, and was immediately hooked after just one class. After 10 years of practice, the overall method has completely changed her body, and her approach to teaching group fitness classes.
She has taken over 1,000 barre fitness classes alone, and studied: The Barre Method, Barre3, Pure Barre, and The Dailey Method for over a decade. She ultimately decided to train under the Dailey Method, as it was the most rigorous training that she could find. Every single teacher training program that she has undergone, has always felt lacking in some way, and she is consistently heartbroken at the lack of integrity in the general yoga and fitness industry’s methodology for training teachers. Her disappointing and painful personal experiences were the catalyst to try and make a change, in effort to prevent others from having to undergo the same pain and frustration, and to create an awareness that will ultimately hold teachers to a higher level of integrity and accountability, and prepare them to actually teach- different types of bodies, with different stories.
When you choose to join this training, you will not only have access to the most extensive Barre Fitness Teacher Training in the world, but also to Nicole, and all of the wisdom and life experience that she has devoted herself to for over a decade. Training Cost is $3,500
This includes a manual, required books and materials, and unlimited access to the studio and classes for the duration of the training.
A $250 non-refundable deposit is required and payment plans are available.

Barre Teacher Training FAQ'S
Registration for training requires a $250 non-refundable deposit to hold your place in the program. The remainder of tuition is refundable up to one week prior to the program start date.
Is There a Payment Plan?
In effort to make training accessible, payment plans are available and customizable on an individual basis. Tuition must be paid in full within 6 months of the program start date.
Can I Still Train Even if I Don't Plan to Teach?
Absolutely! While our training is designed with teachers in mind, many people go through "teacher training" programs to deepen their personal practice.
Are There Pre-Requisites for Training?
Because our training program is so comprehensive, we do not require that you have prior training, certifications, or experience.
Is Space Limited?
Space is limited! We focus on quality and integrity, and limit the number of participants in our training programs.
What if I Miss a Day of Training?
We understand that life happens, and that it may be necessary to miss some of the training. You will be required to make up missed workshop time on your own time, either by buddying up with other participants or working directly with Nicole. Our Anatomy Workshop (date TBA) is required in order to receive a certificate of training. No more than 20 hours of training may be missed, in order to receive a certificate of completion.
Is There Homework?
Yes. Expect to spend 2-4 hours a week studying, and practicing; the more time you put into your training, the more you will get out of it.
What Requirements Do I Need to Fulfill to Complete the Training?
In order to receive a certificate you need to complete the following: - Tuition must be paid in full - You must be present (or account for) 200 contact hours - Complete required homework and tests - Take a minimum of 20 barre classes throughout the duration of the training - Observe a minimum of 10 barre classes throughout the training - Practice teach a minimum of 10 classes within 90 days of the final workshop - Submit a written practice class to Nicole before the end of training - Teach one full class to Nicole; your test out must be completed within 90 days of the final workshop
Do I Have Access to the Studio?
You have unlimited access to the studio throughout the duration of the training to take and observe classes and practice teaching.
What Does a Training Day Look Like?
Every workshop will begin with time to ask questions and will include lectures, practice teaching and feedback. Training is conducted in a safe and respectful atmosphere. Weekend intensives will include a 45-60 min. lunch break.
Are All Training Materials Included?
Yes, you will receive a training manual, and all of the books and equipment necessary to complete the training.
What Amentities Does the Studio Have?
The studio space has all of the necessary equipment needed to both learn and practice. Snacks will be provided during the weekend intensives and there is a fridge/freezer and microwave on site. The studio is within walking distance from coffee, smoothies, snacks and restaurants, as well as hotels.
