30min Class: Orgokinematics the Lung & Liver Connection w/Debi Kennison

Class Details: (35min) Many complaints and pains that seem to be located in muscles, joints and ligaments actually originate from problems within the organs. These can be physiological in origin or be caused by disease. More commonly their origin is due to an imbalance in the tone, movement and position of the organ in the body. Every organ is responsible for its tone and position within the body, which it seeks to maintain. Just as most people have some misalignments in their spine, most people have some imbalance in the organs. This is why balancing the organs results in an increased sense of well being, better movement skills, improved alignment and mood.

Description

Franklin Method Orgokinematics the Lung & Liver Connection w/Debi Kennison (35min): Many complaints and pains that seem to be located in muscles, joints and ligaments actually originate from problems within the organs.

The term “organ tone” denotes the organ’s ability to maintain its own inner “spring” or elasticity and strength. Organ tone is maintained through constant movement, or mobility, such as breathing. Organs also form joints with one another or the surrounding structures; the heart forms a joint with the lungs in which the heart is the ball and the lungs the socket and the liver forms a joint with the diaphragm in which case the diaphragm is the socket and the lung the ball. These movements are described by Orgokinematics. The earliest resources for training the organs are found in Chinese medicine, specifically in Daoist practices. Chinese medicine emphasizes organ health as fundamental to well being.

Imaging the joint interaction between organs and between organs and other structures of the body in support of spinal and limb movement is central to improving organ health, movement efficiency, posture and balance in the nervous system. Considering the role of both the liver and the lungs in relationship to detoxifying the body we begin our exploration of Orgokinematics with these two vital organs in this extraordinary class.
